  • The staff physical therapist provides services for inpatients, outpatients, and special contracts including evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Must hold a current licensure with the ND Board of Physical Therapy.

  • The primary role of the medication aide is passing resident medications as ordered by the provider. Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, residents and their families to accomplish team goals. Ability to plan, organize, and perform job associated tasks to completion with little or no oversight from supervisor. Empathy for others and willingness to work with the elderly. Medication aide certification is required. Nurse Aide or CNA certification with the ND Department of Health is required.

  • The Nurse Aide/Medication Aide helps residents lead a happy and productive life through tasks done individually or in a large group. The Nurse Aide performs resident care activities. Works in cooperation with and promotes positive relationships between co-workers, other department co-workers, residents, and their family members. Must be able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, residents and their families to accomplish team goals. Ability to plan, organize, and perform job associated tasks to completion with little or no oversight from supervisor. Must be able to work independently and possess strong organizational skills. Empathy for others and willingness to work with the elderly. Valid drivers license required. Certification as a nurse aide with the NDDOH is required. If applicant does not have a nurse aide certification, training will be provided by the facility to assist the individual in acquiring the necessary certification. CNA certification is not required. Medication aide certification is also preferred, but not required. Medication aide training program offered by the facility.

  • The dietary/laundry aide is responsible for providing, maintaining, and performing general support functions at Sakakawea Medical Center and Senior Suites.  The key duties include performing dietary and laundry aide duties. The Dietary/Laundry Aide must have good communication skills and a good working relationship with all team members.  Has daily contact with patients, residents, family members, employees, and the general public.  Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions.  Demonstrates knowledge of basic principles of food production, service, and sanitation, as well as principles of laundry services.  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Previous experience is preferred but not required.  Ability to prioritize work projects.  Exercises independent decision-making.  Works independently and as a team member.  Must be able to work with people in a tactful and diplomatic manner exercising sound judgment and discretion.

  • Senior Maintenance Technician

  • The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance and repairs at Sakakawea Medical Center, Senior Suites, Hospice building, and Coal Country Community Health Center.  Duties will include equipment repair; ground maintenance; inspections of building, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and utility systems to ensure safe operation; and maintaining heating and cooling system, electrical, and plumbing.  The Senior Maintenance Technician must have good communication skills and a good working relationship with all team members. Two years of boiler and HVAC experience is preferred.  Must be able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Must have a knowledge of electrical, mechanics, Building control (DDC) and small appliance repair.  Must be able to prioritize work projects, exercising independent decision-making.  Works independently and as a team member.  The Senior Maintenance Technician has daily contact with patients, residents, family members, employees, and the general public.  Must be able to work with people in a tactful and diplomatic manner exercising sound judgment and discretion.

  • Surgical Technologist/ER Technician

  • The surgical technologist scrubs and assists in the OR/ER and is responsible for the cleaning and sterilizing of instruments and supplies for the hospital. Also responsible for the ordering of all supplies to ensure the OR/ER is adequately equipped, cleaned, and prepared for all patient care. Works under the supervision of the physician and RN. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred. Must be registered on the NDBON Unlicensed Assistive Persons Registry. Must have graduated from an accredited program for Surgical Technology.

  • The Radiologic Technologist produces diagnostic quality images while ensuring quality patient care along with efficient patient flow through the department. A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care facility and in emergency and trauma is preferred. Cross-training opportunities are available. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and a graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.  Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Must possess a current license with the ND Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Certification in Basic Life Support is required and will be offered by the facility. Certification in CT, Mammo or Ultrasound is preferred.
