  • The Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician performs specialized and routine tests on patient samples to aid in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease processes. Uses judgment, interpretation, and evaluation to make decisions and assure accurate results. Must have good communication skills. Ability to work in an independent manner with little or no supervision. Ability to work under pressure in a medical situation by reporting out quality results in a timely fashion. Previous experience preferred. Associate Degree required for MLT. Baccalaureate degree required for MT. Requires a current license with the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.

  • The primary role of the medication assistant is passing resident medications as ordered by the provider. Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, residents and their families to accomplish team goals. Ability to plan, organize, and perform job associated tasks to completion with little or no oversight from supervisor. Empathy for others and willingness to work with the elderly. Medication aide certification is required. Nurse Aide or CNA certification with the ND Department of Health is required.

  • HoursFull time, weekday shifts.

  • The staff physical therapist provides services for inpatients, outpatients, and special contracts including evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care. Must be able to interact with patients and families in a positive manner. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Must hold a current license with the ND Board of Physical Therapy. Pediatric and/or women's health experience is preferred.

  • Surgical Technologist/ER Technician

  • The Surgical Technologist/ER Technician works under the supervision of the physician and/or RN. Scrubs and assists in the OR/ER and is responsible for the cleaning and sterilizing of instruments and supplies for the hospital. Also responsible for the ordering of all supplies to ensure the OR/ER is adequately equipped, cleaned and prepared for all patient care. Must have a working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Must exhibit a cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians. Good communication skills are necessary because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff. Maintains confidentiality. Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and must be registered on the ND Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Persons Registry. Must have graduated from an accredited program for Surgical Technology. Previous training or experience in an Operating Room and Central Supply is preferred.   • The RN/LPN is accountable for delivering care to the residents of Senior Suites utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for the implementation of appropriate interdisciplinary approaches for all aspects of care necessary to achieve an overall goal of optimal health and function, acting under the direction of the Director and/or physician. Responsible for the general health and well being of the residents. Must be a critical thinker, team leader, team player, and a positive role model. Requires willingness to share knowledge freely. Current RN or LPN license with the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Two or more years of nursing experience is preferred. Long term care experience preferred.

  • The Facilities Manager is responsible for all maintenance and repairs of the interior and exterior at Sakakawea Medical Center, Senior Suites, SMC Clinic, Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice, and CCCHC buildings (including Killdeer and Center). Duties will include equipment repair, ground maintenance, inspections of building, grounds, equipment, vehicles and utility systems to ensure safe operation, and to maintain heating and cooling, electrical and plumbing systems. Responsible for ensuring compliance with life safety code regulations. Prefer candidate to have a college or trade school degree. Requires demonstrated experience in a related field. Must have a knowledge of electrical, mechanics, welding and small appliance repair. Must have knowledge to work with and repair the machines, motors, vehicles, structures, and fixtures common in the healthcare setting.
